Mostly in article: Brittraum under section History.
The Tagtraum continent was discovered in 1962. Two British Overseas Territories were established on the island. Canadian Tagtraum, and British Tagtraum. For a brief period from 1982 to 1983 they both merged into a British territory. The British government, to attract tourism, a Prince was crowned and reigned from 1983 to 1985. In 1983, he split Tagtraum in half, giving half to Canada as Canadian Tagtraum and the other half becoming an independent sovereign state, Brittraum.
Sports[edit | edit source]
Association football and rally are the most popular sports on the island. Association football first became a major sport in 1984 with the creation of the Prince League. 4 teams took part in its inaugural season in 1984; Tagtraum Prince FC, Maple Leaf FC, Canadian Red Bulls of Tagtraum and Tagtraum English. In 1997 the Prince League was replaced by the Tagtraum Majors, much to the annoyance of Tagtraum English, that they did not join the league for its 1997 inaugural season. The club attempted to gain interest in 3 teams joining a reincarnation of the Prince League but ended up going the whole 1997 season playing just friendlies. In 1998, they joined the Brittraum Secondary Division in Brittraum. As well as 3 of the 4 teams that took part in the 1996 Prince League season, the inaugural 1997 Tagtraum Majors included: National Park Wolves, Sega Rally Racers, EA Sports Reality, Coastal Pirates, Tagtraum Norwegian and Ben & Jerry Soccer Cows. From the 2002 season, Sega Rally Racers were replaced by Metalheads United.
